Strapi SEO with Snoika

Connect Snoika to your Strapi site to publish researched pages for Google and AI assistants on your own domain. Strapi keeps serving every page it serves today. Strapi SEO depends on plugins and front-end code that your developers maintain. Each Snoika page arrives with that technical work done, following the AI content creation workflow, and it goes live only after you approve it. Your first step is a free AI visibility audit; the WordPress SEO checklist shows the kind of findings it returns, and the integrations directory lists the other stacks we connect, from WordPress to WooCommerce.

Snoika pages with Strapi

Snoika pages go live on the same domain as your Strapi pages. Snoika serves them, and Strapi keeps serving everything else. A visitor or crawler sees one website, and you don't move or rebuild any of your existing content. Strapi is headless, so it stores your content and leaves the HTML to a separate front end. That front end can be Next.js or Nuxt. Astro and Gatsby work too, and the connection works the same way with any front end because it sits in front of it.

Decide which URL paths Snoika will own before anything goes live. If your Strapi blog already uses /blog, the new pages could go under /guides, or Snoika could take over a set of slugs you haven't used yet. Clear paths keep the two systems from competing for the same URL.

02

How domain setup works

Snoika connects at the DNS or CDN level and covers the whole website. When someone requests a page Snoika manages, Snoika serves it. Every other request passes through to your existing site unchanged. You install nothing in Strapi, and your code and hosting stay as they are. Snoika's team gives you the origin and the configuration values for whichever setup you run.

Find out who controls your DNS or CDN account before setup starts. On Strapi projects that's a developer or an agency.

What Strapi SEO requires

Strapi SEO takes two kinds of work. Your editors need SEO fields in the CMS, and your front end has to turn those fields into HTML that crawlers can read. Strapi handles the first part well. The second part is your code.

SEO fields in your content types

Strapi's official SEO plugin adds a reusable component to your content types. It has fields for the meta title and the meta description. It also has fields for social previews. Editors fill these in for each entry. Without the component, they have nowhere to put the metadata, so it ends up hard-coded or left out.

Server-rendered tags in the front end

Your front end reads the fields through the API and writes them into the page head. Strapi SEO best practices say to do that on the server, because a crawler that skips JavaScript won't see tags added in the browser.

Sitemaps and canonical URLs

You build sitemaps with a community plugin or a front-end script. Canonical URLs come from your routing logic. Both break quietly when someone changes a slug, so check them after each release.

04

Headless CMS for GEO

Strapi is a good headless CMS for generative engine optimization (GEO), as long as your front end renders pages on the server. Strapi stores content as structured fields, which suits AI systems that pull out facts and answers. AI crawlers read only the raw HTML, so a page that builds its content in the browser looks empty to them.

Snoika adds two AI crawler features to Strapi projects. Each page has a Markdown twin, a clean text version that AI crawlers parse without any layout getting in the way. Your domain also gets an llms.txt index, which points AI systems to the pages worth reading. To check your existing Strapi pages, view the source of a key page and confirm the main text is in the HTML.

05

Adding Snoika to Strapi

Most of the setup happens outside Strapi, and your developer's part is the connection itself.

01

Agree on the URL paths Snoika will serve, so they stay…

02

Get the origin and configuration values from Snoika's team.

03

Add the connection to your CDN or server

On Cloudflare you do this yourself with the guide. On Fastly, Snoika's team does it.

04

Give access to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console

Grant Google Tag Manager access as well so AI visibility can be tied to the traffic you already measure.

05

Snoika builds page templates that match your site and…

06

Review and approve each page in the Snoika dashboard

Schedule the finished pages, or schedule generation with automatic publishing when a page type doesn't need review.

If your team works in its own tools, Snoika's API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection let you pull finished content into them. You can also pull the list of fixes, or the code with those fixes already made.

06

AI visibility from day one

Tracking starts with your first pages, so you can see whether AI assistants mention you from the start. Snoika tracks ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, where AI search traffic is concentrated. You can generate prompts in the app from your content map or add your own. Each week, Snoika records whether you're mentioned or cited, which of your pages get cited, and your sentiment. It also tracks your share of voice against where competitors stand.

These scores also come through the API and MCP connection, so you can report them alongside your other data. Check the prompt list early. Prompts that match what your buyers ask give you a trend you can act on.

07

Structured data included

Every page Snoika publishes comes with its technical SEO in place. Your developers add the following elements by hand on a plain Strapi build.

Schema markup

A canonical URL

Open Graph tags

Internal links to related pages

A sitemap entry

Strapi schema means the definition of a content type. JSON-LD output requires custom front-end code, which teams write into templates where it falls out of date. Snoika pages carry schema markup from the start, so you only need to check your own Strapi pages with a rich results test.

08

How to connect Strapi

Begin with the free AI visibility audit, because it shows where you stand before you change anything. The audit needs no access to any of your systems. You fill in a short form, and Snoika checks buyer prompts and how AI assistants answer them. It also covers competitors and markets. The audit covers gaps as well. That gives you a baseline for Strapi SEO and AI visibility, so you can measure what the new pages change. If you go ahead, the access requests and the connection follow, and Strapi stays as it is. FAQ

New pages are served separately on your domain at agreed URL paths, while Strapi keeps serving existing content. You review and approve pages before scheduling publication, or enable automatic publishing for page types that don't need review.

The connection routes requests at your domain's DNS or CDN layer, so nothing needs installing in Strapi. Setup requires whoever controls that account. Requests for existing pages pass through unchanged, and your code and hosting stay as they are.

For existing pages, strapi seo requires editable metadata fields and front-end code that renders those fields into HTML on the server. Your developers also maintain sitemaps and canonical URLs. Check both after releases that change page addresses.

Strapi is suitable when your front end renders the main content into HTML on the server. Its structured content fields support extracting facts and answers. To check an existing page, view its source and confirm the main text appears there.

Connecting leaves your existing pages unchanged, so their technical SEO still needs maintenance in your current setup. The included technical SEO applies to newly published pages. Your developers remain responsible for how the existing front end renders metadata and structured data.
